We develop into who we are based on knowledge and experiences because they shape our perspective and how we think.
Our minds can give us confidence reminding us of our strengths or they can bring us down as we get stuck on our negative thoughts.
When I'm mentally beating myself down and focusing on everything thats "wrong" I am unhappy and truly thats the kind of attitude I give off to the world and to people around me.
Imagine you already being stressed from a long day and your kiddo just goes in tantrum mode for absolutely no reason. I was already on edge but now I'm yelling because that just tipped me over the meter!
I don't know about you, but I do not want to live a life of unhappiness and I do NOT want my child to have to deal with that version of me either..
Mindfulness is a quality or state that brings attention to being present in the moment without judgement.
It's about experiencing the unpleasant moments without holding on to the fear that this is all it will be.
Why should moms mindfully meditate?
Meditating Mindfully will help you understand that yes, your kiddo is having a tantrum in the moment, but it will pass. Mindfulness gives us the skills to be fully present and aware our internal feelings allowing us to react in a way that supports our kiddo and so we can move onto the next moment. As we continue to practice daily mindfulness meditation, we as moms will gain the ability to be more proactive instead of reactive in our lives and the way we interact with others.

When I first began my meditation journey, I started with self-guided meditation and it was so hard for me. I found it challenging (in a frustrating way) to quiet my mind and center myself to the moment. I am naturally an over-thinker and it did nothing but get worst when I became a mom.
Self guided meditation brought me more stress than relaxation.
When I learned about guided meditation, it all seemed to just click. Listening to someone guide me throughout my mediation and using their words to focus on made it so much easier for me to be present and in the moment. Sometimes it was a body scan, breathing techniques or visualization but it was SO much easier having someone to listen to.
I'm a firm believer that there is truly no "one size fits all" in life. Please create a meditation journey that speaks to you and takes you along the journey that you desire.
